How To Apply Boric Acid?

Boric acid is a white powdery crystal or a three-slanted scaly glossy crystal. Boric acid has a slippery feel and no odor. It is soluble in water, alcohol, glycerin, ethers and essential oils. Boric acid is used in glass, enamel, ceramics, medicine, metallurgy, leather, dyes, pesticides, fertilizers, textiles and other industries.

  • Boric acid can be used as a raw material for the preparation of borate, boric acid ester, optical glass, paint, pigment, boric acid soap, leather finishing agent, printing and dyeing auxiliary and pharmaceutical disinfectant;
  • Boric acid can be used as a pH regulator, chromatographic analyzer, buffer, antibacterial preservative;
  • Boric acid is used as a tackifier or cross-linking agent for water-soluble adhesives such as starch, polyvinyl acid and polyvinyl formal;
  • Boric acid can also be used as an additive, a cosolvent, an astringent, a boric acid ointment, a fabric fireproofing agent and a pH adjuster;
  • Boric acid can improve the heat resistance and transparency of glass products, improve mechanical strength and shorten melting time, so it is widely used in glass (optical glass, acid-resistant glass, heat-resistant glass, glass fiber for insulating materials) industry;
  • It can also be used as an insecticide and a catalyst. Boron-containing trace element fertilizers in agriculture have fertilizer effects on many crops, which can improve crop quality and increase yield;
  • It is used in the fields of metal welding, leather, photography, and dyes, heat-resistant fireproof fabrics, artificial gemstones, capacitors, and cosmetics;
  • It is medicinal disinfection and preservation and made of exposed photosensitive material processing liquid.
