Boron oxide, the formula is B2O3. It is a hard, white and glassy crystals which is one of the oxides of boron and produced from high purity Boron acid.
Boron oxide can be dissolved in acid, ethanol, hot water, and slightly dissolved in cold water. It is much slower absorb in water than the boron acid if exposed to the air and much slower soluble in water than boron acid.
Boron oxide is stable under ordinary conditions of use and storage. If moisture is present, boron oxide can be corrosive to iron.
