Boric Acid Skin Care

A clear, colorless, odorless liquid containing at least 4.25g of boric acid per 100ml for external use as an antimicrobial.


Function and purpose:

It is often used for cold and wet application, and has the functions of antiphlogistic, detumescence, antibacterial, astringency and cleaning wound surface. It is suitable for acute dermatitis and eczema with flushing swelling or erosive surface with secondary infection.

Usage:

Take 4 ~ 6 layers of gauze, immerse in the solution, then twist with tweezers until no dripping is achieved, then apply the wet gauze to the affected area, re-moisten the gauze every 5 minutes for about half an hour. 2 to 3 times a day.

Matters needing attention:

1. The temperature of the solution used cannot be higher than room temperature.

2. Air should be regularly replaced with a wet gauze to maintain proper temperature, humidity and sterility.

3. This medicine should not be used for wet compress, so as to avoid toxic reactions such as vomiting, diarrhea, cramps, lethargy, blindness and kidney damage caused by massive absorption of boric acid. It is advisable to use 1:8,000 potassium permanganate solution for wet compress. When there is no infection on the skin lesions, saline can be applied.

4. Keep warm in cold weather.
